The Northeast Kansas Environmental Services (NEKES)
organization is a coalition of five county health departments collaborating on environmental and public health services. The five counties are Atchison, Brown, Doniphan,
Jackson and Nemaha counties, which are located in the KS Lower Republican and Missouri River Basins in Kansas. For the past 12 years NEKES has offered
water quality protection services including single family and small commercial
wastewater inspections, private water well screenings, water quality education,
loan inspections, nuisance and other reported environmental and public health
complaints. |
